Purpose of the Plugin
Display live data from a JSON feed / API on your WordPress site!
Fetch data (JSON, XML, or CSV) from a data source (URL or file) and dynamically display it as HTML or other formats on a WordPress page.
This lets you build applications to search APIs or store data by creating WordPress pages / Custom Post Types.
There are always two steps:
- Step 1: Get access to the data
- Step 2: Use the data
All you need is…
- the free JSON Content Importer (JCI) Plugin
- or the powerful PRO Plugin
Real-world examples
- Example 1: Fetch and display simple data
- Example 2: Use Wikipedia.org content on your website
